A Tale of Schumann's Traumerei

When Schumann was a young boy, he had a very close friend lived nearby. They always played together, had a lot of fun time.

In one Christmas Eve, the friend's Christmas tree caught fire. Soon the fire engulfed the house.

Schumann's friend and his parents were in deep sleep. All of them perished in the disaster.

Schumann's emotion was devastated after losing his best friend. He had so many nightmares in his sleep afterward.

One night, he saw his friend and parents were all became Angels hovering in the sky.

The mother was in the front followed by his friend, the father was behind.

Schumann was so fascinated seeing the sky filled with all sizes and colors of sprinkling stars, and so many colorful sceneries in the deep space.

Suddenly Schumann heard his friend yelling: "Please help me, quick!"

The mother turned around, saw her son was sinking down...She yelled back: "Hold on my dear! Mom is coming right now."

The father heard his son and wife's yelling, quickly rushing to join them.

Schumann saw the critical moment, became very nervous himself. He wanted to go to help his friend too.

He looked around, saw a giant white-capped eagle resting under a tree nearby, with eyes closed in sleep.

Schumann rushed quickly, and climbed up to the eagle's back.

The eagle woke up by the sudden intrusion, quickly stretching both wings, and jumped up into the sky before Schumann could hold on steady.

Schumann lost his balance, fell down and hit hard on the ground.

He cried out loud: "This pain is killing me! " and wake up, found himself in cold sweat.

After settled down from the emotional dream, Schumann was happy seeing his friend and parents all became Angels.

He could not get back to sleep. So he went over to his piano, started to compose and play the amazing scene in his dream...

舒曼的「夢幻曲」故事

舒曼小時候有一位很要好的隣居朋友。他們經常一起玩耍，樂趣無窮。

有一年的聖誕夕，朋友家的聖誕樹不幸着火，延燒全屋。

熟睡中的朋友及他父母來不及逃出，全家罹難。

失去好友的舒曼非常痛心，睡覺時常常做悪夢。

有一個晚上，他在夢中看到朋友和他雙親都變成白衣天使在太空中飄遊。

朋友的母親遊在最前方，再來是朋友自己，父親跟隨在後。

舒曼看到太空中成千上萬的大小星星，還有五色繽紛的彩雲密佈，真是感到興奮。

勿然聴到他的朋友大叫：趕快救我！

朋友的母親轉過頭來，看到兒子漸往下沈 ...急著喊：兒子逞住，媽媽即刻趕過去！

朋友的爸爸聴到兒子和太太的急救聲，也即刻遊往兒子的地方。

舒曼看到這幅緊迫的情景，心情超急，也想趕去救援朋友。

他四方察看，看到不遠處有一隻超大的白頭鷹，在一棵樹下垂頭閉目睡覺。

舒曼衝跑過去，跳上白頭鷹的背上。

白頭鷹受這個突來的衝擊驚醒，迅速站立，展開雙翼直向天空飛衝。

尚未坐穩的舒曼從白頭鷹背上滑下，摔到地上。

舒曼大叫一聲：「好痛！」，即刻驚醒，滿身冷汗。

不過夢到朋友一家人都變成白衣天使，舒曼感到很欣慰、激動。

趕緊走到他的鋼琴，邊作曲邊彈奏夢中所見情景...
